On July 15th Carlos Daganzo gave a very interesting two hour lecture on variational theory in traffic flow for a full class of enthousiastic participants.
Apart from an excellent scientist, Daganzo also is a very good lecturer, focusing on the understanding of the concepts with his audience. He used an old-fashioned blackboard – explain the use of variational theory, the techniques and some of his new insights.
We were honored to have him at TRAIL for the Master Class! (thanks to a.o. Victor Knoop)
