Objectives
The origin of supply chain is often traced back to a paper by Stevens (1989), where supply chain integration has been mentioned. Since then numerous papers and reviews have been published.

Course description
Within this course we will provide an overview of the empirical literature on SCM, specifically paying attention to underlying organizational theory. The first day will be devoted to providing a broad introduction of the SCM literature, its foundations and the theoretical developments used. The second day will highlight a few contemporary themes and will be used to discuss the first assignment, including presenting some slides and have a discussion. Also the second assignment will be further elaborated/explained.
