Course – Stated Choice Data Collection

July 4, 2024 10.00 - 15.00h

General aim
Data collection is required in many disciplines including transportation planning, urban planning, and behavioural science in order to validate the formulated conceptual frameworks and statistical models. While collecting data from the real world is one way to move forward, it may come with the problem of obtaining data which is not statistically rigorous and bias free for building statistical models. To rule out certain biased and get more pure causal effect, data collection by designing stated choice experiment is an alternative method. If it is applied correctly, it can guarantee the appropriateness of the data for various analysis.

This course covers
Data collection methods, stated preference and choice experiment.
